The welded sieve bend screen is made up of rods and wire. The rod can be round wire, triangular wire or trapezoid wire. The warp is triangular wire (V-shaped wire). Sieve bend screens have a structure and high open area, as well as accurate slot dimension.

Welded wedge wire screens are made from the V-shaped wedge wire and support rods. the V-shaped wedge wire is helically wound around an array of internal longitudinal support rods. Each intersection of wire and rods is automatically resistance welded, which creating a very strong cage-like cylinder with one continuous slot spiralling along its full length. The gap between the wires(also called slot or aperture), which is designed according to customers’ requirements, allows water to flow from the surrounding aquifer into the screen.

All our wedge wire screens can be supplied in standard material of SS304/ SS316/ SS316L. Many other material grades are available on request.

Non Plugging slots

  • V-shaped wire creating, two point particle contact preventing plugging.
  • Inwardly opening slots (in-flow) preventing sand particles from remaining lodged in screen.

The screening surface is a curved stainless steel wedge wire screen with the slot openings and
the wedge wires positioned perpendicular to the direction of flow. Typically, end bars are welded
on the top and bottom of the screen for strength and installation purposes.



We manufacture numerous combination of screen panel for static dewatering equipments. The dewatering screen have gravitary feed. The solid particles and the liquid are separated on a bend or folded wedge wire screen. The liquid flow through the panel screen, altought the solid particles roll down.

A sieve bend consists of a concave curved profile wire screen mounted in a frame with the screen openings perpendicular to the flow. A curved screen has greater capacity than a flat screen due to forces exerted as material flows against the curved surface.

As slurry flows down the screen each wedge wire’s sharp leading edge slices away a thin layer of water and small-particle solids. Larger particles continue down the screen surface, with much of the liquid removed. Separation size is considerably smaller than screen openings, usually about one half the opening size.

Sieve Bend and Flat Screens

Wedge wire screens are particularly well matched to the requirements of high capacity filtration. These screens are self-cleaning, durable and reusable. Sieve bend (or curve screens) have the wedge wires oriented perpendicular to the flow direction which allows water to be collected when passing through screen, then the angle and flow allows the solids or branches to slide over the screen’s smooth surface. These screens can be applied in water treatments, dewatering systems and other water-solid separation applications as well. Flat screen panels are used in similar application as sieve bend screens.
